Big Fat Teddy proudly announces the release of his latest CD “Hurt” which culminates six months of false starts, rough recordings and general frustrated musical mayhem. The CD features 21 of BFT’s favorites from country to folk to rockn’ roll.
“I really wanted to create a CD six months ago but it just never did quite come to my likeness and perfection so I decided to remix the few good cuts and make new cuts of what I did not do well before. It was a laborious and sometimes frustrating process but I think the new CD, overall , is good if not among the best of my DIY productions. Without a lot of good production equipment and a good studio, I am always limited, but this time around I think I stretched my desktop studio to the limit and the result was a pretty good sounding CD though admittedly not perfect,” says BFT.
The CD was produced with Adobe Audition and freeware VST’s on a software multi-track. Most of the songs are fairly well recorded but a few might be off here and there so BFT urges everyone to keep that in mind.
What is next for BFT? “I think now I want to work on practicing more new songs and preparing myself to do an open mic night sometime in the near future. The fun is finally back in playing after a long stretch where I just didn’t feel very musically inclined. It feels good to have fun again even if I am not perfect,” says BFT.
